The Top 20 Photographs of 2005
My brother and I haven't been able to spend a lot of time together this year due to conflicting schedules, geographic locations, and perpetual drunkenness. And when he first told me that he was thinking of getting a dog, I thought he was on crack. He used to hate dogs. I continued to feel that way up until about two weeks ago, when I met my darling new nephew-puppy, Quannum (named after the hip-hop collective). Greg and I took him on a hike up Mount Agemenicus (sp?) in York on Xmas Day, which was such a nice and different way to spend the afternoon, since this is the first year that we had Xmas Day with just our family (in past years we've gone to my uncle's house for dinner). Quannum was a very good lead dog, he stayed ahead of us and made sure to protect us from many horrible twigs and sticks, and was kind enough to wait up for Auntie Marissa, who was just a wee bit slower than he was. I took this shot of Greg and Quannum at the top of the mountain.
